I have been working in education since 1989.  Both my wife and I arrived in Mt. Pleasant November 1994.  Since employed by Mt. Pleasant Independent School District.  I had worked in the computer lab at the high school for two years and then I was reassigned to my current position of District Technology Trainer.  

I’ve been training teacher on how to integrate technology into the curriculum.  I assist the campuses with the different programs.

The extent of my training a teacher can vary from as simple as logging on to the system to managing the student data to learning the program and navigate on the World Wide Web

I have been developing Databases since 1990 and I have been using Filemaker Pro Since 1996.  With that been said I write, manage and support all the databases the district has, except for Pentamation.  If other databases are required I will make a needs assessment of the project and find a solution as needed by the district staff.  I needed to rewrite report that the district student or financial management program (Pentamation) cannot provide for us.  This task has diminished considerable since most of the reports have been already created a few years ago.  There are still the few occasions that I need to modify the report to better suit our needs.  Help technicians with repair of Macintosh computers as needed.  Other duties as assigned.

Since my training under Jerry Robin I have been able to develop dynamic databases.  My areas of expertise include Scriptology, Relational Database Design, Interface Design and Calculations.  I am able to import and export into different systems and platforms.

I am also certified to teaching Foster and Adoption PRIDE classes for the state of Texas.  In order for one to become a foster or adoptive parent you must go through ten 3 hr classes (Usually once a week) the curriculum is provided by the State of Texas.

I am also a Certified trainer in "Love and Logic” from the love and logic Institute.  This philosophy helps us as parents to have respect and to have a healthy relationship with our children.
